Depending on the treatment area, your provider will select either a soft strip wax or hard wax to achieve the best results while keeping your experience as comfortable and efficient as possible. Before waxing, avoid retinol or prescription retinoids on the treatment area for 5–7 days, strong acids or exfoliants for 3–5 days, and tanning, sun exposure or scrubs for at least 24–48 hours. Avoid lotions, oils and self-tanner the day of your appointment. Please let your provider know about Accutane/isotretinoin, antibiotics, steroids, blood thinners, prescription acne medications, recent chemical peels or laser treatments, as these may require your service to be postponed. Never stop a prescribed medication without consulting your medical provider.

Great results continue at home. After waxing, avoid tanning, sun/heat, friction and heavy sweating for 24–48 hours. Gently exfoliate as recommended and regularly use a nourishing aftercare oil suited to your skin’s needs..

We partner with Bushbalm to offer professional aftercare for concerns like ingrown hairs, irritation, dryness and the appearance of dark spots. Your provider can recommend the best products for your skin and waxing routine.

Yes. Waxing can generally be performed during your menstrual cycle and during pregnancy, as long as you feel comfortable and there are no other contraindications. ALWAYS consult your physician first to see if there are any contraindications specific to you.

During your period, the skin may be slightly more sensitive than usual. For Bikini or Brazilian services, we simply ask that you wear a tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment.

Waxing is also commonly performed during pregnancy; however, hormonal changes may make the skin more sensitive. Please let your provider know that you are pregnant so we can ensure your service is performed as comfortably and safely as possible.

Most lash lifts + brow laminations typically last approximately 6–8 weeks. Results can vary depending on your natural growth cycle, lash or brow texture + aftercare.

Avoid tanning beds, prolonged sun exposure and self-tanner for at least 48 hours before and after waxing. We cannot wax skin that is sunburned, peeling, irritated or otherwise compromised, as this can increase the risk of sensitivity and skin lifting.
